Who needs to register their substance?
Companies that produce in or import to the EU over a tonne of a chemical substance per year might be obligated to register their substance. REACH registration is an official dossier done for the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) regarding the substances attributes, dangers, possible risks and how to manage them. The specifics of the required information in the dossier is defined in the REACH regulation (EY) N:o 1907/2006.
Deadline for the registration
The third and final registration deadline for low-volume substances is on the 31st of May 2018. This deadline concerns the majority of the chemicals already manufactured in or imported to the EU.
If you are not entirely sure about the obligations you might have regarding REACH, contact us. Linnunmaa’s experts can help by clarifying the specific obligations and advising on complying with them.
