Linnunmaa has experience in interpreting and applying Water legislation, technical realization of water use and effluent treatment as well as hydrological impact assessment and compiling water permit applications. Linnunmaa compiles the required permit applications, statements and impact assessments for its clients.
The Finnish Water Act regulates the use of water resources and construction in waters, promoting the prevention and reduction of negative side effects. Water management projects frequently require a permit under the Water Act, in other words a water permit. Cases concerning a threat of environmental pollution are processed under the Environmental Protection Act unless the operations require a water permit.
In addition to the permit applications, Linnunmaa compiles the required attachments such as scientific and technical reports and statements and helps to design the operations in order to fulfill the prerequisites for granting the permit. Linnunmaa masters the opportunities defined by the legal framework, scientific impact assessment and technical realization.
