If a company or an individual uses or stores chemical substances crossing the threshold to low usage, the local rescue department must be notified. Whether or not an activity crosses this threshold, can be calculated by taking into account both the classifications and amounts of chemicals in use or storage. Linnunmaa carries out the calculations and submits the necessary notifications on behalf of its customers.
The notification for the rescue department depicts the intended chemical usage and storage methods. It also holds all the necessary information regarding the chemicals themselves, such as their classifications and hazardous attributes as well as description on safety measures and most immediate local environment.
