Heidi Määttä joined the Linnunmaa team in March, 2018. Her tasks include e.g. compiling risk assessments, in-house control plans, and applications and notifications to the Finnish Food Safety Authority (Evira). In addition, she drafts product labels and works with different assignments related to novel foods. Before her career in Linnunmaa, she has gained over 10 years of experience in the food processing industry as a Quality Manager. She is experienced in the Quality Management of food industry and the legislation and authoritative requirements concerning the meat sector and by-products of animal origin. In addition to maintaining operations according to the management system ISO 22000, Heidi has experience in in-house control according to the Food Act and the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. She has specialized in food product hygiene, sanitation of food production plants, detergents and disinfectants. Heidi is a Hygiene proficiency tester authorised by Evira. Her new interests include Chemical Safety and animal feeds.
